No. We do not share any of your private information with your employer. Your employer receives no information about who utilizes our services and no information about what is discussed in sessions.

Yes. Our therapy-as-needed services are 100% free to you. The cost is covered completely by your employer.

This depends on your goals. Some goals can be achieved in as little as one session, while other goals may require more time.

If your needs/goals would be better served by a more intensive or more specialized service, we will do our best to help you find service options that fit your needs, budget, and available benefits. It’s completely your choice whether or not you want to follow through on any referral. You will still have access to therapy-as-needed services regardless.

People utilize our services for a variety of reasons including but not limited to:

Our therapy-as-needed program can help with:

• coping skills

• communication skills

• relaxation and mindfulness skills

• plans for self-care/healthy lifestyle (eating, exercise, sleep, activities, and social engagement)

• referral assistance for more intensive services or testing (e.g. substance abuse treatment, neuropsychological testing, etc.)

• referral assistance for more specialized and/or more intensive therapy assistance in finding support groups (e.g. grief support, DBT, AA, Al-Anon, etc.)

We understand that many BCCS employees have busy and complex schedules, and we offer flexible scheduling options to meet your needs. We offer sessions starting every 15 minutes during our clinic hours on Tuesdays. You may choose between a 50-minute session or a brief 25-minute session.

When scheduling your appointment, you also will have the opportunity to create a customized appointment time that works best for your schedule. For example, if you’re available from 9:05am-9:45am, please select a 9am, 50-minute session and in the “When can we expect you?” portion of the online booking form, please write “9:05am-9:45am”.

Therapy sessions are offered onsite at Brooklyn Center Elementary School (inside the NeoPath clinic), onsite at Brooklyn Center Secondary School (inside the NeoPath clinic) and online via Google Meet.

Therapy sessions typically take place on Tuesdays, every 15 minutes, from 9am - 12pm (online/onsite at the BCE NeoPath Clinic) and 1pm - 4pm (online/onsite at the BCS NeoPath Clinic).

Yes. The therapy-as-needed program is separate program, and it is offered in addition to the EAP services offered by AllOne Health and “BCCS Wellness Services”. Employees are welcome to utilize all of these services.

AllOne Health is the BCCS Employee Assistance Program. This service is available to all employees AND their family members. Services include counseling, life coaching, legal and financial consultation,  medical advocacy and referrals for most of your life needs including travel, professional services, and daycare/ eldercare. Resources include the member portal with articles, webinars, podcasts, training and more. Staff may visit the website and create an account to access the full site of resources and/or call the phone number 1.888.243.5744 for support.

BCCS Wellness Services appointments are available and FREE for all BCCS staff. The scheduling calendar is open, and emailing Shel Auld at mauld@bccs286.org to schedule directly or ask questions is always welcome! Sessions can be scheduled from 10-60 minutes, at a location convenient for the staff member, and they choose if they prefer a private session or to include one or a few colleagues to join. There are multiple services to choose from, including: Reiki, yoga, guided mindfulness, breathing or meditation practices, movement instruction, health coaching or nutrition counseling, Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT)/Thought Field Therapy(TFT) Tapping practices.
