I appreciate your willingness to take the first step towards getting closer to the life you desire. I look forward to coming alongside you and working together to get you to your goals. You’ve demonstrated great strength and bravery by making this step.
You deserve to live the life you desire. I trust that we can work together to get you there. Although there may be some challenges along the way I will be there with you to support and encourage you with each step you take.
My approach:
My hope is to create room in therapy for you to feel connected, supported, and free to be your true authentic self. I work to gain a deep connection that will both challenge you and inspire you to take risks and to grow. My intention is to see, know, and understand you and your journey to this point.
Once we’ve gained a deeper understanding of who you are and how you’ve made it to this point we will work together to get you to the life you’ve longed for. My goal is to empower you with the ability to make choices that allow you to live the life you desire.
My background:
My degrees include a Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas; a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma; A Master of Education in Adult Education from the University of Central Oklahoma; and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have training in PREPARE and the Satir Enriching Program. I am a member of the VSGN Anti-Racism Advisory Committee. I also served on the Virginia Satir Global Network Board from 2014 – 2020.
I was born in Long Beach, California, and grew up in Apple Valley, California. I live in Marietta, Georgia with my partner Ernest. I enjoy listening to audiobooks, walking, and enjoying time with family and friends. I feel blessed to get to do this work. It is my honor to join people in their pain and walk with them towards growth and change. I’m here to help.
