Life, together,
ours to wonder.
Ours to savor.
Ours to suffer.
Ours to offer
to each other.
My approach:
Therapy is a creative endeavor, where together, we explore and pursue what is possible. As a fellow human, I approach therapy with a proper humility. You are the expert of your life and I exist to support your growth. You can expect me to listen carefully, seek to understand you, and accept you as you are. I strive to maintain curiosity and flexibility to promote a therapeutic fit with you. I believe it is essential to honor both the hardship and beauty of life; to accompany people in suffering while holding up their strength and innate worth. I like to ask questions, share ideas, and when appropriate, laugh. I am skilled at synthesizing information to identify themes, dynamics, and overarching patterns.
My background:
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Business from the Carlson School of Management and my Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin - Stout. My therapy practice has centered on existential matters and their associated complexities. I have supported people experiencing fear, loneliness, depression, anxiety, illness, aging, tragedy, loss, regret, relationship ruptures, and death. I have shared space with people seeking answers about identity, purpose, acceptance, forgiveness, and faith. As a speaker, I have provided education to healthcare workers and the local community about resilience and grief practices.
I am also passionate about supporting organization leaders and teams in creating more collaborative, high-performing, humane, and sustainable workplace cultures. I have ten years' experience as an operations and team leader. I can relate to and understand the challenges faced by organizations in the modern world. My perspective as a systemic therapist combined with leadership experience positions me to view organizations holistically and to develop useful interventions.
